AC – ECG and Troponin

“Hmm…”

You ponder over the results of your investigations so far. You can’t really tell much from them. You need more information.

You decide to rule out some common cardiac causes of chest pain next, so you conduct an ECG and troponin test and you get the following results:

Troponin: 150ng/l (<14ng/l)

ECG:

What do you do next?

1) Prescribe pain relief and repeat troponin in 3 hours

2) Rush to the cath. lab for percutaneous intervention (PCI)

3) Prescribe Morphine, Oxygen, Nitrates, Aspirin
